We are seeking an experienced hands-on Purchasing Manager to handle our company's procurement activities. The Purchasing Manager's responsibilities include developing purchasing strategies, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs, overseeing the purchasing team in their daily activities, and financial administration.

To be successful as a Purchasing Manager you should be able to manage and optimize purchasing activities and processes. An outstanding Purchasing Manager should have excellent leadership abilities and be able to negotiate the best possible deals with suppliers.


Key operational responsibilities and tasks

  • Developing and implementing purchasing strategies.
  • Managing the warehouse stock and employees.
  • Coordinating the stock distribution from the Warehouse to the branches.
  • Handling Transportation, locally and globally.
  • Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks.
  • Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.

Main administrative responsibilities and tasks

  • Managing incoming financial administration (accounts payable)
  • Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
  • Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.
  • Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets.
  • Working to improve purchasing systems and processes.
  • Training new employees in the purchasing process and how to use the purchasing system.


Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Restaurants Chains Companies as a Purchasing Manager is a pre.
  • Degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar position.
  • Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
  • Supervisory and management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand


Other information and aggravating circumstances

Even though this position is a management position for multiple storekeepers, when holidays or sickness occurs the purchasing manager is expected to work within the below circumstances:

Compliance with rules on safety, health and safety, HACCP, and work and presentation methods (corporate).Effort in lifting and moving crates, boxes, barrels, and pushing trolleys. Walking or standing partly in a forced position. Impact of drafts and temperature differences (in some seasons) when accepting goods at open outside doors. Risk of injury by knocks on limbs and entrapment. Strenuous posture and a unilateral load of eye and back muscles to work with PC or automated system. Sometimes talk of workload peaks in the workload.
