The Job
The Barback is responsible for ensuring that the THE DUCHESS bar team always has the tools required to serve customers continuously on shift. Our Barback will keep all of the stations fully stocked with products, utensils and ice at all times. Our ideal candidate is interested in growing into a bartender role and someone who can work well under pressure in a team environment. Our Barback must be very personable, organized, and diligent in completing tasks. This fast paced environment asks THE DUCHESS barback to perform at the highest level, ensuring excellent service to our guests and our THE DUCHESS team members on the floor.
We are looking for enthusiastic ‘cocktail-loving’ new colleagues in Amsterdam, who wants to be a part of the MR PORTER STEAKHOUSE team. The ideal candidate is a driven team player who has "experience serving cocktails and special drinks".
The Bartender ensures all guests are served drinks or food within the bar in a friendly and efficient manner in accordance with company standards. You welcome and greet all guests in a friendly, professional and sincere manner and ensure all guests approaching the Bar counter are acknowledged and served. You prepare cocktails and special drinks and follow up with spot checks to ensure a consistent quality of drinks is guaranteed. You ensure that the Bar area is prepared correctly for excellent service. The Bartender has a complete knowledge of F&B service techniques, all menus, drinks lists and specialties offered in the Bar and served to the correct MR PORTER STEAKHOUSE standards.
