About Us:
The Butcher Smash, a new concept from the Entourage Group, is bringing a fresh and exciting take on the smash burger to Amsterdam. As we prepare to open, we are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen and ensure every burger that leaves our kitchen is top-notch. With an emphasis on quality, creativity, and efficiency, the Head Chef will be the heart of the operation, managing the kitchen team and maintaining our high standards.
Job Description:
As the Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of the kitchen, from food preparation to staff management and inventory control. Your main focus will be on ensuring that every burger and dish meets our high-quality standards and is served quickly to our guests. You’ll lead the kitchen team, train new staff, and ensure the kitchen runs smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
Lead the kitchen team in the preparation and cooking of all menu items, with a focus on smash burgers
Oversee food quality, ensuring that every burger is cooked to perfection and served fresh
Manage kitchen operations, including ordering ingredients, inventory control, and maintaining food safety standards
Develop and refine recipes to ensure consistency and quality in every dish
Train and mentor kitchen staff to improve their skills and ensure high standards of preparation and presentation
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen in compliance with health and safety regulations
Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service and quick turnaround times
Monitor kitchen performance, ensuring that we meet operational goals and customer satisfaction targets
Keep up with new trends and innovations in burger and fast-casual cuisine, continuously improving our offerings
Assist with the management of food costs and help optimize the kitchen’s efficiency to maximize profitability
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or Line Cook with a strong background in burger preparation and fast-casual dining
Deep knowledge and passion for cooking burgers and other fast-casual foods
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a kitchen team
Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Knowledge of food safety standards and ability to implement them effectively
Creative mindset with a focus on quality and consistency
Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
