MR PORTER AMSTERDAM - Breakfast Chef

MR PORTER, the iconic steakhouse and restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam, is seeking a driven and experienced Breakfast Chef to join our team. As a Breakfast Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily breakfast operations and leading a dynamic team. You will ensure the preparation of high-quality dishes and provide an exceptional experience for our guests, while maintaining an efficient and organized kitchen.

Your Responsibilities:

• Leading the Team: Manage the breakfast team and ensure smooth kitchen operations.

• Menu Development: Collaborate with the management team to develop breakfast menus that meet MR PORTER's standards and exceed guest expectations.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest quality standards in both food preparation and presentation.

• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control and order ingredients based on the breakfast menu needs.

• Kitchen Organization: Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient kitchen.

• Training & Coaching: Train and mentor team members, enhancing their skills to provide exceptional service.

• Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety regulations within the kitchen.
  

What You Bring:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a chef in a (hotel) restaurant or other leading kitchens.

• Experience in leading a team and working under pressure.

• A passion for cooking, particularly breakfast and brunch dishes.

• Creativity and the ability to develop new breakfast concepts.

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.

• Flexibility and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
