MOMO Restaurant – Bar - Lounge blends the flavors and colors of the Far East with the style and sophistication of the West, bringing exciting concepts to Amsterdam. This venue is located in the heart of the city’s chic quarter, opposite Vondel Park, close to the famous designer shops and museums, and on the ground floor of the magnificent Park Hotel, which has just undergone a huge refurbishment.

Our MOMO Waiter/Waitress is serving in shifts, lunch, and dinner in a friendly and efficient manner. You work as part of a team and are aware of departmental objectives. You ensure that the mise en place is in accordance with the required standards. Other accountabilities are ensuring the restaurant, lounge, and storage areas are kept clean, hygienic, and tidy at all times following departmental cleaning schedules.

For this job, we are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly colleague. The successful candidate has an affinity with the hospitality industry, is a team player, helpful and friendly.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests
• Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about the shared-dining concept, ingredients or potential food allergies)
• Prepare tables by setting up silverware and glasses
• Offer menu recommendations upon request
• Up-sell additional products when appropriate
• Communicate order details to the kitchen team
• Serve food and drink orders
• Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems to your manager
• Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
• Deliver checks and collect bill payments
• Positive attitude and aim to provide great communication skills

Requirements

• You are located in Amsterdam (or nearby)
• Attentiveness and patience for guests
• Aim to deliver excellent presentation skills
• Organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
• Active listening and effective communication skills
• Team spirit
• The ability to speak English
• Flexibility to work in shifts
