The Job

We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Host / Hostess. The capable candidate is a team player and has excellent customer service skills.

The MOMO Host / Hostess ensures all guests are greeted on the phone, bookings are taken, recorded and followed up and all guests are seated when arriving at the restaurant in a friendly and efficient manner in accordance with departmental standards. You welcome and greet all guests in a friendly, professional and sincere manner. You seat them on a table and explain them the following steps of service. You will send e-mail restaurant information to guests requiring this service. Keep the reservation book clean, organized and at all times up-dated. Call guests to reconfirm bookings. The Host / Hostess assist guests in the Bar with seating arrangements.

Your profile

For this role, you should be people skilled and motivated to make sure our guests have an unforgettable dining experience from the moment they arrive until their departure. The ideally candidate for this role has excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality and thrive in a team based environment. 

Responsibilities

• A warm and welcoming delivery while processing our valued reserved and walk-in guests
• Excellent guests service skills in person and over the phone
• Positive attitude and aim to provide communication skills
• Provide accurate information and monitor waiting lists
• Escort guests to assigned dining or bar area
• Provide menus and explain the concept to our guests
• Bidding goodbye
• Maintain a clean reception and working area
• Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)
• Answer incoming calls and address guest’ queries
• Assist waiter staff as needed

Requirements

• Previous work experience as a hostess
• Excellent guests service skills in person, in writing and in speaking
• Availability to work in shifts as needed
• Flexible availability on nights and weekends
• Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift
• English needs to be spoken fluently
• You live in or nearby Amsterdam
