We are looking for a confident Head of Service to join the team for our authentic, but never traditional, shared-dining concept.

As IZAKAYA Amsterdam Head of Service you are responsible for running the restaurant with a compact team of employees to provide an unforgettable, total dining experience to our guests. The IZAKAYA Amsterdam team is looking for someone who enjoys working in a team and providing an efficient and incredible service to our customers. As Chief Operating Officer you will not only provide the guests with an unforgettable dining experience during their visit, but you will also take your team to the next level. We are looking for a person who has the patience, personality and perseverance to thrive in this role and who can multi-task a variety of tasks. Furthermore, you must be a team player, be able to communicate effectively with your colleagues and set a good example.

Responsibilities

• In staat zijn om het goede voorbeeld te geven om ervoor te zorgen dat uw hoge normen worden gefilterd door het team

• Volledig verantwoordelijk voor het assisteren bij het soepel runnen van het restaurant, personeelsmanagement en training, samen met bestellingen en voorraadbeheer

• Je rapporteert aan de Assistant General Manager

• Presenteert het menu en geeft gedetailleerde informatie wanneer daarom wordt gevraagd (bijvoorbeeld over het shared-dining concept, ingrediënten of mogelijke voedselallergieën)

• Op verzoek menu-aanbevelingen doen

• Coördineren van de communicatie tussen de zaal en het keukenteam

• Coördineren van de tafelschikking

• Positieve houding en streven naar goede communicatieve vaardigheden

Vereisten

• Werkervaring als een Head Waiter of Head Waitress

• Sterke teamspeler

• Een sterk verlangen om een carrière in high-end restaurants te ontwikkelen

• Attent en geduldig voor gasten

• Streven naar uitstekende presentatievaardigheden

• Organisatorische en multitasking vaardigheden, met het vermogen om goed te presteren in een snelle omgeving

• Actief luisteren en effectieve communicatievaardigheden

• Teamspirit

• Flexibiliteit om in ploegen te werken

• Vloeiend spreken en schrijven in het Engels

• Je woont in Amsterdam (of dichtbij)
