The Job
We are currently seeking a skilled waiter to join our team at IZAKAYA Amsterdam. As a waiter, you will be responsible for providing our guests with an exceptional dining experience. This role requires an individual who is passionate about hospitality, attentive to detail, and possesses excellent communication skills. All our employees work together to provide outstanding, authentic service and experience for every guest. To realize this, we are looking for an enthusiastic colleague to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Taking orders: Waiters are responsible for taking customers' food and drink orders and adding them to the till system, answering any questions they may have and making recommendations based on the menu/guests' preferences.

• Providing customer service: Waiters are responsible for providing high-quality guest service, answering questions, resolving issues, and making sure customers have a positive dining experience.

• Serving food and drinks: Waiters are responsible for serving food and drinks to guests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that orders are accurate and properly prepared with an accurate description.

• Ensure a safe dining experience for all guests by effectively communicating and addressing allergies.

• Effectively address and resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.

• Handling payments: Waiters are responsible for processing payments from guests, including calculating bills, handling cash and credit card transactions, and making change.

• Cleaning and setting tables: Waiters are responsible for cleaning and setting tables before and after customers leave, ensuring that the dining area is clean and organized.

Requirements

• Communication skills: Waiters must have strong communication skills and be able to interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner.

• Customer service skills: Waiters must have excellent customer service skills and be able to address guest' needs and concerns effectively.

• Teamwork approach: Waiters must be able to work effectively with other staff members, such as chefs, barbacks, and bartenders, to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience.

• International approach: Must be able to fully communicate in English, Dutch is a plus.

• North Holland: Living in Amsterdam or nearby (flexible with commuting)
