DO NOT DISTURB - Bar Back

The Job

For our DO NOT DISTURB we are looking for a Bar Back who assures everything in the bar area is completely assured.

The Bar Back is responsible for ensuring that the Do Not Disturb team always has the tools required to serve guests continuously on shift. Our Bar Back will keep all of the stations fully stocked with products, utensils, and ice at all times. Our ideal candidate is interested in growing into a bartender role and someone who can work well under pressure in a team environment. Our Bar Back must be very personable, organized, and diligent in completing tasks. This fast-paced environment asks the Do Not Disturb Bar Backs to perform at the highest level, ensuring excellent service to our guests and the Do Not Disturb team members on the floor.

Do Not Disturb is located on the lower floor of the W Amsterdam, hidden underneath the concrete and cobblestones of the Dutch capital, the darkest of hours turn vibrant with the opening of Do Not Disturb. The 360-degree bar and tables of different levels encourage guests to mingle and meet by drinking a great cocktail. Do Not Disturb offers a carefully selected small dishes menu and drinks menu including high-end champagnes and premium spirits from around the world.

Responsibilities

• Making sure everything is properly stocked
• Basic prep work behind the bar
• Assists guests in making food and beverage selections
• Positive attitude and aim to provide great communication skills

Requirements

• Attentiveness and patience for customers
• Passion for hospitality
• English needs to be spoken fluently
• Aim to deliver excellent presentation skills
• Organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
• Active listening and effective communication skills
• Team spirit
• Ability to have a flexible schedule and be able to work on nights, weekends, and or holidays
