Job requirements
Responsibilities
To ensure all that all mise-en-place is always freshly prepared and on time
To ensure that all dishes are being prepared to the correct recipe and to the correct quantity
To deputize in the Pastry sous chef’s absence and take charge of the kitchen when directed to do so
To ensure that any anticipated shortages are communicated promptly to the sous chef or head chef
To strive to study relevant subjects in preparation to future advancement
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef de Partie – Pastry or in a similar role within a fast-paced hospitality environment
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, food safety, and HACCP standards
A passion for creating high-quality desserts with excellent attention to detail and presentation
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing kitchen demands
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency
Willingness to learn, develop new skills, and contribute to menu innovation.
Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Located in or nearby Gibraltar
Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus
