The Job

For our DO NOT DISTURB we are looking for a Door Host that will make sure our guests will have an amazing and unforgettable experience.

As a Door Host, you are the first point of contact at the entrance of the club. You are responsible for controlling access, ensuring guest safety, and providing a friendly and professional welcome to all visitors. You ensure all guests are greeted, recorded, and followed up and all guests are seated when arriving at the club in a friendly and efficient manner in accordance with departmental standards of Do not Disturb. You provide excellent guest service and an unforgettable experience to our guests, always with a smile.

Do Not Disturb is located on the lower floor of the W Amsterdam, hidden underneath the concrete and cobblestones of the Dutch capital, the darkest of hours turn vibrant with the opening of Do Not Disturb. The 360-degree bar and tables of different levels encourage guests to mingle and meet by drinking a great cocktail. Do Not Disturb offers a carefully selected small dishes menu and drinks menu including high-end champagnes and premium spirits from around the world.

Responsibilities

• A warm and welcoming delivery while processing our valued reserved and walk-in guests

• Check invitations, guest lists, or ID to ensure only authorized guests enter

• Excellent customer service skills in person and over the phone

• Positive attitude and aim to provide communication skills

• Provide accurate information and monitor waiting lists

• Escort guests to the seating area, explaining the next steps of service according to departmental standards

• Bidding goodbye

• Maintain order and safety at the entrance

• Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries

• Assist waiter staff as needed
  

Requirements

• Previous work experience as a Door - hostess

• Excellent customer service skills in person, in writing and in speaking

• Availability to work in shifts as needed

• Flexible availability on nights and weekends

• Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift

• You are located in Amsterdam (or nearby)

• English needs to be spoken fluently, Dutch is a plus
